Thren Fellhorn Is Not A Nice Man... I just finished... A Dance of Cloaks by David Dalglish

Title: A Dance of Cloaks

Series: Shadow Dance Book 1

Author: David Dalglish

My Full Disclosure Statement:

Before you read my review, I want you to know who I am. I’m a published author named Phillip Drayer Duncan. You can find out more about me, what I write, what I read, and more of my reviews at PhillipDrayerDuncan.Com. As a writer, I’ve had the opportunity to meet numerous artistic professionals at various levels and want to remain open about who I know before I review them…

I have never met David Dalglish, but oddly enough, when I looked him up, it turns out that he lives in town rather close to my own. In fact, at one point, I lived a single town away from him. Which is wild considering I live in the middle of nowhere. When I saw the name of the town he was from I did a double take like... Wait... Isn't that really close?

My 1 Sentence Synopsis:

Stabby, stabby, cut, cut

My 1 Sentence Review:

There’s a blurb on the cover by Michael J. Sullivan that reads, “Fast, Furious, and Fabulous.” It’s quite accurate.

Slightly Longer But Still Brief Synopsis/Review:

A bunch of greedy killers fighting for power, and one poor young man in the middle of it all, trying to decide who he really wants to be. And then more stabby, stabby, cut, cut, torture, stab, cut, stab. Seriously, this book is incredibly fast paced and brutal. I don’t want to give the wrong idea, though. It’s not just gratuitous death and destruction, there’s a story in there as well. Think Game of Thrones, but starring thieves and assassins. Overall, I enjoyed it quite of bit. I tip my metaphorical hat to my fellow Missourian Author and look forward to reading more of his work.
